Care and attention to detail are the keys to this interesting project. The original building is a farmhouse dating back to the 1850’s. In the path of the 407 highway expansion, it was disassembled, moved to the shores of Lake Simcoe, and reassembled.
The clients have views of spending more retirement time at the cottage combined with the need to accommodate a growing family due to the introduction of grandchildren.
The historic post and beam construction needed to be respected and seamlessly blended into the new addition. This job requires a detailed eye.
